Abuja – Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Tuesday formally submitted his Nomination Form at the National Headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja as the consensus candidate for Ogun East Senatorial District.
In a brief ceremony, the governor described the moment as not merely a political exercise but a reflection of his enduring commitment to the people of Ogun East – a district he noted is rich in history, enterprise, culture, and immense potential.
“This moment is not just about a political process, but about our enduring commitment to the people of Ogun East,” Abiodun said.
He expressed deep gratitude to party leaders, stakeholders, and residents of Ijebu and Remo divisions for the trust, support, and confidence they have continued to place in him, adding that he does not take the responsibility lightly.
The governor reaffirmed his resolve to continue giving Ogun East strong and purposeful representation while sustaining the developmental strides that have positively impacted the people over the years.
“Together, we will continue to work for greater opportunities, improved infrastructure, economic growth, youth empowerment, and a more prosperous future for every community across Ogun East Senatorial District,” he stated.
The submission marks a significant step ahead of the upcoming elections, with the governor positioning himself to build on his record of service in the state.
