Senator Osita Ngwu, the Senate Minority Whip and lawmaker representing Enugu West Senatorial District, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ngwu’s defection marks a shift in the Senate’s minority leadership and further bolsters the APC’s numbers in the upper chamber. The Enugu West senator was elected on the PDP platform in 2023 and later emerged as Minority Whip.
