In a bold move to prioritize community welfare over politics, Hon Rotimi Makinde has launched StressFree Cafe, a vibrant hub aimed at tackling hunger and poverty head-on. Located at two electric poles to Obafemi Awolowo University gate, this innovative project is designed to put the community first, providing a holistic approach to reducing unemployment while fostering economic growth from within.
Hon Makinde explains, "Our goal is to create a safety net that not only feeds the hungry but empowers individuals to break the cycle of poverty. By doing so, we're reducing the burden on the community and creating opportunities for sustainable growth."
StressFree Cafe serves up delicious local favorites like Amala and Gbegiri, Pounded Yam, and other Nigerian classics, alongside conventional dishes perfect for students from nearby OAU. The cafe is quickly becoming a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike.
But StressFree Cafe is more than just a place to grab a bite - it's a multifaceted platform offering event spaces, lodging facilities, and vocational training courses. The initiative is already showing promising results, with participants reporting improved economic stability and a renewed sense of purpose.
Makinde, who always thinks of Ile-Ife first, had earlier established Oodua FM 90.9 radio station, and according to him, this is another start to reignite his enthusiasm to ensure his people have sources of income. "We're not here to play politics; we're here to put people first. By working together, we can create a stress-free community where everyone has the chance to thrive."
And there's more - an hotel is in the works to complement the community's growing needs. As StressFree Cafe continues to expand its reach, it's clear that this innovative approach is just the beginning of a brighter future for the community.
If you therefore think of where you are free from stress especially on food, a visit to STRESSFREE is all you need to kill the stress.
