Former Kano State Governor and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has formally defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), marking a major realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Kwankwaso received his ADC membership card today in Kano, confirming his move from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), which he led nationally.
The ceremony reflects growing momentum for the ADC as opposition forces consolidate.
The defection comes after weeks of speculation and reported meetings with key ADC figures, including former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
