Headliners for Yayi Hold 2nd Ramadan Lecture in Abeokuta

More than 1000 residents of Abeokuta benefitted from food items as The Headliners for Yayi, a media support group for Senator Adeola Olamilekan (Yayi) across Ogun State, held their second Ramadan lecture at Kemta Adire Market, the maternal home of the senator.


The event, held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, brought together prominent Islamic scholars, political leaders, market stakeholders and residents who gathered for prayers, spiritual reflections and charitable outreach in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan.


Delivering the Ramadan lecture, Sheikh Abdul Lateef Ademoye (Yah Sataar) called on leaders at all levels to demonstrate compassion, humility and humanity in the discharge of their responsibilities.






He also urged members of the public to remain patient, steadfast in prayer and committed to peaceful coexistence.


Speaking as the Father of the Day, Otunba Muraina Olatunji Banjoko (Threeco), an aspirant for the Ogun Central Senatorial seat, commended the organisers for promoting unity, faith and community support through the Ramadan initiative.


Also present at the event was Alhaji Comrade Abdul Waasi’i Agunbiade (Yayi Agbara), Chairman of the Ogun State chapter of the Tricycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (TORAN), who attended to show support for the initiative and encouragement to the Headliners team.


Other dignitaries included Engr. Jamiu Ogundele (Jamsalod), the Iyaloja of Kemta Market, Alhaja S. A. Akamo, as well as prominent market women and community leaders and the Yayi New Media Team 


The Wakeelul Muslimeen of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Sheikh Iskeel Lawal Sugar, offered special prayers for the success of Senator Adeola’s mission, members of the Headliners team and the continued peace and development of Ogun State.


In line with the spirit of Ramadan generosity, the organisers distributed food items including rice, milk, Milo, garri and other essential items to attendees.


In her remarks, the coordinator of the group, Olaide Rukayat Ashabi, on behalf of members of The Headliners for Yayi, appreciated all guests, community leaders and residents who attended the lecture and supported the initiative, specially appreciating members of the Yayi New Media Team present at the event. 


Observers noted that beyond its spiritual significance, the programme also reflected growing grassroots mobilisation around the Yayi 2027 movement, as supporters continue to combine community service with political engagement across Ogun State.
