The National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS) has paid glowing tribute to renowned businessman and philanthropist Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun, popularly known as IBD Dende, as he celebrates his 56th birthday.
In a statement released by its National President, Oluwafemi Ajayi, fondly called Fm Castro, the student body described the celebrant as “a father to students” and a man whose doors are always open to young people seeking support and encouragement.
According to NAOSS, Egungbohun has carved a niche for himself not only as a successful entrepreneur but also as a compassionate leader deeply committed to youth and community development across Ogun State. As Chairman of IBD Group, he has reportedly empowered numerous youths, sponsored educational initiatives, and provided financial assistance to students in need.
“Alhaji Chief Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun is a rare personality whose love for students and youths has earned him deep admiration and appreciation across Ogun State,” Ajayi said. “Within the student community, he has proven time and again that he is not just a leader but a father to all, offering support, encouragement, and opportunities to many young people striving for a brighter future.”
The association emphasized that Egungbohun’s philanthropic gestures have positively impacted countless lives, particularly among underprivileged students who might otherwise have struggled to complete their education. His consistent contributions toward student welfare and empowerment have strengthened his bond with the youth constituency in the state.
