Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has shared her astonishment and delight after being publicly acknowledged by United States President Donald Trump during the 74th National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C.
In remarks following the event, Mrs. Tinubu reflected on the unexpected honor, stating: “Who would have thought that President Trump would recognise me? I am getting global recognition on all of this, and that is what life is all about. If something is going to be good, it starts from the rubbles.”
The moment occurred when President Trump paused his address to highlight the Nigerian First Lady, describing her as a “very respected woman” and noting her role as a pastor at one of Nigeria's largest churches.
