The political atmosphere in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State is set to come alive as the Pacesetter Pillars, Ifo LGA Chapter, prepares to host a major gathering of stakeholders, supporters, and well-wishers in a show of solidarity for Senator (Dr.) Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.
The event, themed “Ifo Stands with Senator Yayi 2027,” will feature the inauguration of the Pacesetter Pastor Forum for Yayi (PPFY) as well as the formal unveiling of patrons and matrons. Organisers describe the programme as a significant step in strengthening grassroots support, unity, and strategic engagement ahead of future political developments.
According to the planning committee, the ceremony will hold on Thursday, 12th February 2026, at Ifo Town Hall, located beside the Ifo Local Government Secretariat in Ogun State. Proceedings are scheduled to begin promptly at 10:00 a.m., with guests expected to appear in the designated white and orange dress code, symbolising peace, unity, and renewed commitment.
The programme will be graced by Senator (Dr.) Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) as the Special Guest of Honour. Widely recognised for his legislative experience and grassroots connections, Senator Adeola’s presence is anticipated to draw supporters and political leaders from across Ogun State and beyond.
Prominent personalities will play key roles at the event. Chief Aderinsola Adeboyi will serve as Father of the Day, bringing his respected leadership and community influence to the occasion. The Central Planning Committee is chaired by Chief Ganiyu Elefonde, whose organisational leadership has been pivotal in coordinating the programme.
Also playing a central role is Hon. Sunday Adebowale, State Secretary of the Pacesetter Pillars and Director-General of the Central Planning Committee for the Ifo LGA “Stands with Senator Yayi 2027” initiative. Hon. Adebowale noted that the gathering aims to mobilise support, encourage unity among stakeholders, and strengthen collaboration across religious, political, and community groups.
Speaking on behalf of the organisers, Alhaji Lasisi Bayonle, Coordinator of the Pacesetter Pillars in Ifo Local Government, described the event as a platform to reaffirm collective commitment to leadership, development, and progress in Ogun State. He called on community leaders, political stakeholders, and residents to attend and participate in what promises to be a historic gathering.
