Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a new Higher Islamic College with 48 classrooms in Fikayel, Bayo Local Government Area.
Structured in three blocks, the college will provide educational access to school dropouts and graduates of non-formal Islamic schools in rural communities.
During the visit, the governor also inaugurated a newly constructed Government Day Secondary School in Fikayel.
These projects reflect the administration's focus on expanding and improving education in rural Borno.
