CCM Hosts Ogun State Meeting in Grand Style at Obafemi-Owode

Political heavyweights, party leaders mobilize members for APC e-registration

The Central Coordinate Movement (CCM), Obafemi-Owode Local Government chapter, on Thursday, January 30, 2026, played host to the Ogun State meeting of the movement in a colourful and well-attended grand reception that attracted top political stakeholders from across the state.




The meeting, which held at Marok Hotel, Siun area of Obafemi-Owode Local Government, witnessed a large turnout of party leaders, political office holders, community leaders and members of the movement.




The Chairman of Central Coordinate Movement (CCM), Alhaji Taiwo Elewide, popularly known as Big Champion and the Akile of Egbaland, led delegations from five other local governments — Abeokuta South, Abeokuta North, Odeda, Ifo and Ewekoro — to grace the reception organized by the Obafemi-Owode Local Government chapter of the group.




Among the dignitaries present were Ambassador Ogunsola Lanrewaju Adesina; the Chairman of Obafemi-Owode Local Government, Chief Babatunde Akeem Adesina; the Special Adviser to Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun on Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Abiola Asaluola; Hon. Eruobodo; Chief Idowu Akinde; the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Obafemi-Owode Local Government, Chief Tunde Delu; the Chairman of the Rugby Federation of Nigeria, and several other distinguished personalities.





















Speaking at the event, Ambassador Ogunsola Lanrewaju Adesina commended members of the Central Coordinate Movement for their commitment and growing influence within the political space. He urged them to actively engage in politics and mobilize their members to participate fully in the ongoing nationwide electronic registration of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing that proper registration would validate their membership and strengthen the party at the grassroots. He further assured the movement of the local government’s maximum support.




In his remarks, the Coordinator of CCM in Obafemi-Owode Local Government, Chief Lobito, expressed deep appreciation to all members and delegates who honored the invitation. He also saluted the leadership of the APC in the local government for attending the meeting despite the short notice, describing their presence as a strong show of unity and encouragement to the movement.




The meeting also recorded a strong presence of women in politics, who turned out in colourful and elegant attire, reinforcing the importance of gender inclusion and equality in political participation.




The event ended on a high note, with members reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the APC and supporting the developmental agenda of the Ogun State Government through grassroots mobilization and unity.
