Abeokuta — A former House of Representatives candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief Toyin Amuzu, has extended warm felicitations to Christians across the world as they prepare to celebrate Christmas on Wednesday, December 25, 2025.

In a goodwill message issued ahead of the celebration, Hon. Amuzu described Christmas as a season of love, sacrifice, and renewed hope, urging Christians to reflect on the virtues exemplified by the birth of Jesus Christ, including humility, compassion, and selfless service to humanity.

According to him, the Christmas celebration presents a unique opportunity for individuals, families, and communities to strengthen bonds of unity and peaceful coexistence, especially at a time when society needs harmony and understanding more than ever.

The former PDP House of Representatives candidate encouraged Christians to use the festive period to pray for peace, progress, and stability in Nigeria, while also showing kindness to the less privileged and reaching out to those in need.

“Christmas reminds us of the importance of love, forgiveness, and service to humanity. I encourage everyone to celebrate responsibly, promote peace in our communities, and extend a helping hand to the vulnerable among us,” Amuzu stated.

He further appealed to Nigerians to remain hopeful and committed to nation-building, stressing that collective effort, tolerance, and unity remain key to achieving sustainable development and a better future for all.

Hon. Amuzu also called on residents of Abeokuta South and Ogun State at large to maintain peaceful conduct during the festivities and beyond, noting that harmony at the grassroots level contributes significantly to national stability.

He concluded by wishing Christians a joyful and peaceful Christmas celebration, filled with good health, happiness, and renewed faith for the year ahead.

“I felicitate with Christians across the world and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous, peaceful future,” he added.

The message has been received as a call for reflection, unity, and hope as Christians join millions around the globe in celebrating the Christmas season.
