The Adamawa State Police Command has rescued a kidnapped man, Abdullahi Usman, in a rapid response operation in the Girei area, while separate probes in Rivers and Imo States uncovered a brutal murder and bandit hideouts.
In Adamawa, Police Public Relations Officer Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje announced the rescue on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
The operation kicked off after resident Adamu Shugaba reported hearing groans from an uncompleted building in Jabbore, Viniklang.
Officers arrived to find Usman bound with cloth strips on his hands and legs. Led by the Viniklang Divisional Police Officer, the team freed him and rushed him to a hospital, where he was confirmed unharmed.
Commissioner of Police Dankombo Morris praised the officers' swift action and handed the probe to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit to hunt down the culprits.
He urged residents to stay vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly.
