The Central Coordinate Movement (CCM), a rising socio-political force in Ogun State, received a major boost as it formally welcomed Hon. Oladimeji Odewole—widely known as Tambolo Cuba—from Abeokuta North Local Government into its fold.
The event, held under the leadership of CCM Chairman, Alhaji Taiwo Elewide, popularly called Big Champion, Akile Egbaland, brought together key political figures and grassroots mobilizers across the state. Alhaji Elewide described Hon. Odewole as the coordinator of CCM’s diaspora members, emphasizing his longstanding commitment to community development and political cohesion.
Also present was Alhaji Olaniyi Fasiu Ajadi, a prominent loyalist of Senator Olamilekan Solomon YAYI and a respected chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta South. He was accompanied by Mrs. Taiwo Kehinde, Hon. M.S., and Mrs. Erelu Modupe Usman.
In his remarks, Alhaji Fasiu Ajadi commended the discipline, unity, and organizational strength of CCM members, applauding the values he observed within the group. He described the Movement as a “united force with growing influence,” expressing confidence in its potential ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Reaffirming his commitment to the group, Ajadi pledged to facilitate a meeting with Senator Olamilekan Solomon YAYI, with the aim of securing CCM’s recognition as one of the political structures supporting the senator. He further urged members across the six local governments under CCM to intensify efforts in ongoing activities, particularly voters’ registration, stressing that effective mobilization remains key to strengthening the group’s political relevance.
Hon. Oladimeji Odewole, Tambolo Cuba, also addressed the gathering, praising the dedication of CCM members and promising unwavering support for the group’s operations and future engagements.
With growing alignment from influential political actors and renewed interest from grassroots supporters, the Central Coordinate Movement appears poised to play a significant role in the evolving political landscape of Ogun State.
