OGUN NUJ COMMISERATES WITH FRSC SECTOR COMMANDER ON THE DEATH OF COMMAND’S PRO, CRC F.N. OKPE

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, has expressed deep shock and sadness over the death of the Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Sector Command, Chief Route Commander F.N. Okpe.


According to an official notification from the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Akinwumi O. Fasakin, the Command received with a heavy heart the sad news of the demise of CRC F.N. Okpe, who reportedly passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in her hometown while on annual leave.


Until her untimely death, CRC Okpe served diligently as the Public Education Officer of the Ogun Sector Command, where she distinguished herself as a hardworking, resourceful, and committed officer dedicated to public enlightenment and road safety advocacy.


The Ogun State Council of the NUJ described her passing as a painful loss, not only to the FRSC family but also to the media community in Ogun State, where she maintained cordial working relations with journalists covering the road safety beat.


While commiserating with the FRSC Ogun Sector Commander, officers, and men of the Command, the NUJ prays for the peaceful repose of her soul and for divine comfort for her family and colleagues during this difficult time.
