Juventus have dismissed manager Igor Tudor after just seven months in charge, capping a turbulent spell that ended with an embarrassing eight-match winless run across all competitions.
The 43-year-old Croatian coach was shown the door on Monday, a day after the Bianconeri's 2-1 defeat to Lazio in Serie A, which extended their poor form to three straight losses and five winless league games.
Tudor had been appointed in March as a mid-season replacement for Thiago Motta, tasked with steadying a side reeling from early-season inconsistencies.
Under Tudor's guidance, Juventus have struggled to find rhythm, slipping to eighth in the Serie A standings six points adrift of leaders Napoli and languishing 25th in the Champions League group stage after one loss and two draws in their opening three European fixtures.
The winless streak, the club's worst in recent memory, has piled pressure on the Turin giants, who now face an uphill battle to salvage their season.
In an official statement, Juventus expressed gratitude for Tudor's efforts: “The club thanks Igor Tudor and his entire staff for their professionalism and dedication over the past few months and wishes them all the best for their future careers.”
Tudor, a former Croatia international with prior stints at Marseille and Verona, had no immediate comment on his departure.
To steady the ship, the club has turned to Massimiliano Brambilla as interim head coach for Wednesday's Serie A clash against Udinese at 17:30 GMT.
Brambilla, a long-time Juventus youth coach, steps in amid speculation over potential permanent replacements, with names like former boss Massimiliano Allegri and Atalanta's Gian Piero Gasperini circulating in Italian media.
