Fusengbuwa Ruling House,

Ile Nla Agunsenbi Quarters,

Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

Sir,

RE: STRENGTHENING OF UNITY: CLARIFICATION ON TUNWASE ROYAL FAMILY REPRESENTATION

We refer to our letter dated 11th September 2025 and Mr. Fassy Yusuf's letter dated 21st September 2025 on the same subject matter above. Despite our initial reluctance to respond to Mr. Fassy Yusuf's claims due to their lack of merit, we are compelled to set the record straight in light of his decision to publicize his letter, which contains fabricated narratives and false information about our esteemed Royal lineage, TUNWASE, and related issues.

In view of the above, we wish to clarify the following points:

1. The Fusengbuwa Ruling House neither meets nor exists at "82A, Olode Street, Ijebu Ode" as falsely claimed in Mr. Fassy Yusuf's letter and the MOU purportedly signed with you. With due sense of respect, we want to believe that you are not unaware that the Fusengbuwa Ruling House meeting point since it's inception is the Ile Nla, Agunsenbi Quarters, Ijebu Ode while 82A Olode Street is the Family House of our own lineage, TUNWASE, rebuilt by the late Otunba Subomi Balogun.

2. While as a lineage we hereby register our disappointment at your permission of Mr. Fassy Yusuf and his fellow strange elements to hoodwink you into an illegal alignment on the pretext of securing government support which the duo of Mr. Fassy Yusuf and Mr. Kunle Hassan recently boasts about as being within their reach. We, however, wish to state that the purported MOU signed between your humble self, Otunba Lateef Owoyemi, and Mr. Fassy Yusuf and his accomplices fraudulently misrepresented historical facts regarding Fusengbuwa Ruling House' membership and offices, and you should please note that the said MOU is strictly on behalf of yourself and at most your own lineage, not binding on Tunwase and the remaining six lineages of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, who were neither informed nor involved in your secret deal.

3. While Mr. Fassy Yusuf reserve the right to associate with anyone or group of his choice, such association does not relate to the Fusengbuwa Ruling House or its Tunwase lineage. Contrary to his claims, the Fusengbuwa Ruling House comprises descendants of the eight children or lineages of HRM Awujale Fusengbuwa (1790-1819), and does not include individuals who do not meet this criterion or persons manufacturing Royal claims of descent from distant past Awujales.

4. Contrary to Mr. Fassy Yusuf's sudden claim that his ancestor, one Yeruwa is related to Tunwase, we clarify for avoidance of doubt that his claim is a shameless distortion of the history of the Tunwase lineage. The said Yeruwa, a Warri man is not an Ijebu man much more a Prince. For the records, Awujale Adesimbo Tunwase's six children, namely: Adekoya Olukooku Ogberegedeloba (male), Adebambo (male), Usen (female), Akeju Salau (male), Adetutu (female), and Awujale Adenuga Folagbade (male) and are generally known in the Fusengbuwa Ruling House and the Ijebu Royal House, hence Mr. Fassy Yusuf's fraudulent ingenuity is an effort in futility.

5. The Tunwase lineage has existed for over 120 years, with its members actively participating in meetings and other family engagements as a lineage within the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, without any involvement from either Mr. Fassy Yusuf or his ancestors.

6. Membership of the Tunwase Royal Family and the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, like every other Royal family in Yorubaland, is by Royal blood, not association. Mr. Fassy Yusuf's claims to the contrary as well as his suggestion that certain members of the public and not Fusengbuwa Ruling House or Tunwase lineage could determine membership of our Royal dynasty are without basis and confirm Fassy Yusuf's unfamiliar ties to any Royal family in Ijebuland, thus his rigorous attempt to link himself with every prominent Ijebu man he knows.

7. Contrary to Mr. Fassy Yusuf's fraudulent claims, neither Mr. Adekunle Hassan nor Fassy Yusuf are members of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, and none of them was ever the head or Deputy Head of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House. Rather, they both are co-royal ancestry speculators attempting to buy their way into the Ijebu Royal House. Dr. Kunle Hassan's fraudulent misinterpretation of his being a medical consultant to the late Awujale Sikiru Adetona as a basis to infiltrate the Fusengbuwa Ruling House is a failed tactic. We challenge both Fassy Yusuf and his accomplice, Adekunle Hassan, to attempt a visit to Ile Nla Agunsenbi Quarters, Ijebu Ode, to point out any ancestral house belonging to their ancestors thereon and bring out any evidence of their involvement or claim to Fusengbuwa Ruling House affairs until the last one year.

8. While Mr. Fassy Yusuf's treacherous inconsistencies on issues are public knowledge, we take exception to his baseless claim that Otunba Adedokun Ajidagba is not an Otunba of Ijebuland and his miscellaneous reference to him and Prince Adeleke Adeyemi as "Mr.", which is an affront to their pedigree. To set the records straight, Otunba Adedokun Ajidagba was officially conferred with the title Otunba Munigbuwa of Ijebuland by the Awujale of Ijebuland, a Chieftaincy title for Royal sons of the Awujale, unlike Fassy Yusuf's honorary title bestowable on non-Ijebus. Also, Prince Adeleke Adeyemi is the son of the last generally acknowledged Head of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, late Prince Adebisi Adeyemi Obanlefa, whose grandfather, Olufadekemi (OLUFADI), was the eldest male Abidaagba son of Awujale Fusengbuwa.

9. Mr. Fassy Yusuf's claim that the Appeal court judgment, which he had originally acknowledged and had been going about granting interviews affirming same as basis of your right as Head of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, to now turn around to claim that same judgment is of no legal effect consequence, following his jittery at the reconciliation of the two legitimate leaders of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, yourself and Otunba Adedokun Ajidagba, reinforces the fact that Mr. Fassy Yusuf is an unstable and unreliable character whose words and actions are dictated by what he can personally gain at every circumstance.

10. We wish to educate Mr. Fassy Yusuf and his associates of their misrepresentation of the Awujale of Ijebuland Chieftaincy Declarations that "Heads or Heads of families" shall present nominees for the stool, to include people like Fassy Yusuf and his accomplices picking themselves on the street and declaring themselves as being a group or faction of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House. There is no faction or groups within the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, in tandem with the Chieftaincy Declaration and subsisting Judgment of the Appeal court, Ibadan, yourself Alhaji Lateef Owoyemi remain the Family of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House with the individual lineages referred to as families headed by their heads.

11. We trust this clarification sets the record straight before you and the public of the true facts regarding the Tunwase Royal Family and the Fusengbuwa Ruling House.

Sincerely,

Prince Rasaq Sonibare

Olori Ebi, Oba Adesimbo Tunwase Royal Family, Ijebu Ode

For and on behalf of Oba Tunwase Descendants home and abroad.
