Jigawa Governor Commissions N200m Primary Healthcare Hospital

Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has officially commissioned a state-of-the-art primary healthcare hospital worth N200 million. 

The hospital was built and donated by Senator Abdulhamid Ahmed Malammadori, representing Jigawa Northeast Senatorial District.

The fully equipped health facility is located in Yayari Ward, Hadejia city, and was personally initiated and funded by Senator Malammadori.

Governor Namadi lauded the senator's gesture, describing the hospital as a landmark contribution to healthcare delivery in Jigawa State.

"This is a solid, high-standard project that could stand even in Abuja. It is commendable and the first of its kind by a Distinguished Senator,” he said.

The governor noted that the donation aligns perfectly with the state’s ongoing plan to establish one primary healthcare clinic in each of the 281 political wards, adding that about 70% of the target had been achieved so far.

“The senator has helped us complete one more. I urge other lawmakers to emulate this,” he added.

Senator Malammadori, while handing over the facility, said the project was a personal initiative and not part of any federal or constituency scheme.

“This is not a federal government project. I funded and implemented it to address the critical healthcare needs of the people of Yayari Ward and surrounding areas,” he explained.

He emphasised that the project was motivated by a sense of responsibility and commitment to public service.

“We are here to serve the people, and we’ll continue to do our best to meet their needs,” he said.
