The Federal Government is set to distribute N75,000 to 180,000 vulnerable households in Niger State as part of the Renewed Hope Economic Shocks Response Initiative.

According to Suleiman Hussaini Kpange, State Program Manager of the Niger State Cash Transfer Program, the initiative aims to cushion the effects of economic shocks on vulnerable households.

Beneficiaries include individuals from the existing National Social Register and those who applied through the RRR earlier, with a national identity card required for debit card issuance. Over 50,000 beneficiaries have already received their debit cards across the 25 local councils of Niger State this year, with an additional 19,000 cards to be distributed.

Some beneficiaries, including Bahago Gideon Musa and Hadiza Bawa, have expressed satisfaction with the process leading to the collection of their debit cards. They appreciate the Federal Government's initiative, which aims to provide direct financial assistance to vulnerable households.

The Renewed Hope Economic Shocks Response Initiative is part of the Federal Government's efforts to address economic challenges caused by the removal of fuel subsidy. The program seeks to provide financial assistance to vulnerable households, helping them cope with the economic shocks.
