The 2018 silver medalists, Nigeria's Super Eagles B team, will play their group stage matches for the 8th African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Zanzibar, a scenic Tanzanian archipelago with a population of less than two million people.
Nigeria is grouped with defending champions Senegal, Congo, and Sudan. Congo was reinstated into the group after Equatorial Guinea's disqualification by the CAF Appeals Committee.
The tournament will run from August 2 to 30, 2025, while Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda will jointly host the tournament as a dress rehearsal for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
Opening Match will be at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam (mainland Tanzania), while the Third and Fourth Matches, will be at Mandela Stadium in Kampala, Uganda.
The Final Match on Saturday, 30th August, will be played at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani in Nairobi, Kenya
The Super Eagles B, who were also bronze-medallists in South Africa in 2014, qualified for this year’s finals after a 3-1 aggregate defeat of Ghana in their qualifying fixture in December last year.
