By increasing the number of Traffic Compliance Officers (TRACE) from 650 to an impressive 1,650, the Governor demonstrates a significant commitment to addressing the growing traffic challenges faced by residents across all twenty local government areas.

This substantial increase in personnel not only aims to bolster enforcement on the roads but also promises a pathway to improved service delivery that could lead to safer and more efficient transportation across Ogun State. With an enhanced workforce, it is anticipated that the challenges of traffic congestion, road safety, and compliance will be addressed more effectively, benefitting commuters and businesses alike.

The positive impact of this initiative is not to be underestimated. An additional 1,000 traffic compliance officers will undoubtedly ease the workload on existing personnel, allowing for more focused attention on critical traffic issues. Currently, many TRACE vehicles are outdated, with some as old as eight to ten years. Such aging resources significantly hinder the officers' ability to perform their duties effectively, proving inadequate in the face of modern traffic challenges.

Outdated patrol vehicles pose a challenge to rapid response times and overall operational efficiency. In an era where innovative traffic management solutions are evolving, it is essential for Ogun State to equip its compliance agency with modern, reliable vehicles and advanced technological equipment. This investment will not only ensure that traffic compliance officers can carry out their duties effectively but will also project a professional image for the agency, instilling confidence among residents and road users.

As a stakeholder and committed partner in Ogun State's progress, I earnestly urge His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun CON to consider the modernization of transport resources for TRACE.
