Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, on Thursday declared that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has officially adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
The endorsement was made public during President Tinubu’s working visit to Anambra State, at a gathering held at Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.
“Progressives are working together,” Soludo announced, emphasizing that APGA and the APC share a common ideological commitment to progressivism and would collaborate closely going forward.
This alignment marks a significant political development, especially considering APGA’s historical identity as a regional party with roots in the South-East.
The move is likely to reshape political alliances ahead of the 2027 polls, signaling growing unity among some of Nigeria’s major political actors.
