Obafemi—Owode LG Chairman, Amb. Ogunsola Signs Into Law 2025 Appropriation Bill, Swings Into Action On A Deal With Foreign Investors

 



The Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA has assented year 2025 Appropriation bill in his office today, having presented to him by the Leader of the Legislative Council Hon.Saheed Ariyibi .

The Chairman acknowledged the dedication of the Councillors for thorough legislation and the speedy passage of the year 2025 Proposed Budget that was presented to the council couple of weeks ago. 

He stressed that the Budget which was christened " Budget of Growth and Sustainable Development" is in reality with economic stimulus which catered for all the sectors of governance across the council area.




Earlier, the Leader of the Legislative Council, Obafemi Owode Local Government commended the Chairman Ogunsola for sustaining harmonious relationship between the Executive and the Legislative arm of the local government, as he recently renovated and refurbished the legislative Chamber for the smooth running of  Legislative duties.

Hon. Ariyibi further pledged continuous cooperation in order to propel the driving force of the legislative Council towards actualizing the growth and development of Obafemi Owode Local Government as a whole.

Similarly, Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA has immediately after the signing of year 2025 budget, set out on the inspection to sites,  earmarked for the foreign investors on the mechanized farming in Oba axis of the council area.

We will recalled that Amb. Ogunsola was on international tour to facilitate foreign investors on agriculture, as he met with Mayor Robin Christiansen, Mayor of Dover, Delaware, USA where he sealed an international tied with his government to improve the agricultural development through mechanized farming.

He further strengthened  the collaboration of others such as, International Funds for Agricultural Development ( IFAD), Value Chain Development Program, Members of Alians Forum on Agriculture and many others,who into agro businesses, as his government is ready to harness the potential opportunities in agriculture through which they can improve food production even to the export rate.

Present at the presentation of the approved budget to the Executive Chairman for endorsement includes,Hon.Abiodun Sobunkonla,Vice Chairman, Hon. Nurudeen Sodehinde, Deputy Leader and other Honourable members, Hon.Kayode Dipeolu, Secretary to the Local Government,Ms. Olufunke Adeniji, Head of Local Government Administration.
