Ewekoro, 7th of March, 2025. – Today marked a significant milestone in Ewekoro Local Government as Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa, the Executive Chairman, officiated the swearing-in of newly appointed officials at the local government secretariat. The ceremony, which saw the induction of supervisory councillors, special advisers, and assistants, is poised to enhance the administration's capacity to deliver effective services to the community.
In his opening remarks, Hon. Adesina emphasized the importance of the new appointments, stating that they are more than just roles; they represent a commitment to the vision of progress and development he has set for Ewekoro. "These individuals are here to serve the community and act as a bridge between the local government and the citizens," he declared. "Together, we can drive growth, improve infrastructure, and ensure that the needs of our people are met."
The newly appointed supervisory councillors bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their respective portfolios. Mr. Bello Babatunde Sulaimon has taken up the role of Supervisor for Works and Housing, tasked with overseeing vital infrastructure projects. Alh. Arike Olajumoke Adeniyi will serve as Supervisor for Community and Women Affairs, focusing on enhancing the welfare of the community, particularly women. Mr. Babatunde Sulaimon Omolokun assumes the critical role of Supervisor for Health and Medical Services, ensuring access to quality healthcare for all residents. Hon. Adeniran Yemisi Samuel, as Supervisor for Agriculture and Natural Resources, will work towards sustainable practices that benefit the local economy. Lastly, Mr. Oyedele Sulaimon has been appointed Supervisor for Information, Education, and Sports, aiming to promote educational initiatives and sports development within the community.
In addition to the supervisory councillors, several special advisers were sworn in to provide strategic support to the Executive Chairman. Mr. Adelowotan Samuel Oluwagbenga will oversee Special Duties, while Mr. Akinpelu Oluwafemi will focus on environmental issues. Mr. Ayinla Dare has been appointed to handle Legislative Matters, and Mr. Ogunlana Ibrahim will advise on Political Matters, ensuring that the local government remains responsive to the political landscape.
The ceremony also welcomed special assistants, including Mr. Olaleye Oludotun, who will serve as the Personal Assistant to the Executive Chairman, and Mr. Oduntan Joseph as a Special Assistant, both of whom will play crucial roles in the day-to-day operations of the local government.
