For the record, here is the brief profile of Engr Segun Ayodele Odunuga Kaka
Prince (Engr) Segun Ayodele Odunuga Kaka who was born on the 25th may, 1972 from the royal lineage of Efunsegun. His father, Johnson Olukayode Odunuga Kaka was the famous automobile dealer called Meleki motors. Segun is from Pariptete ruling house of Ibipe Quarters, Ago Iwoye.
Segun and his siblings are mostly known in town as Omo baba eleran iso behind the Ebumawe palace. He is also from Ayanlaja royal blood and Anikilaya descendant of the present Awujale of Ijebu Ode.
He started his school from Grace Children School, Gbagada, Lagos under the management of chief Mrs. Osinowo of blessed memory. He had his common entrance and passed into Federal Government College, Romokoro opposite Bonny Camp, Port Harcourt, capital of Rivers State, from where he obtained his West African Examination Council certificate.
He later got admitted into the prestigeous Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife ,Osun state in 1993,where he studied Civil Engineering.
Kaka's area of concentration was on water and waste water engineering, structural engineering under the tutelage of Prof. Ogedengbe of blessed memory where he graduated with B.Sc (Eng).
He later became Fleet Manager of over 200 trucks running both wet and dry cargo under the famous JPO transport (Johnson Popoola Orishijimi Transport company)
However, as an highly gifted entrepreneur, Kaka decided to create his own world in logistics business by registering Hartfield And Haul Ltd in the year 2000, a logistics ,machinery and property development company which he started with one truck and grew the business to over 21 fleets of trucks both wet and dry cargo trucks. The company was engaged as a Consultant to Oando plc, Obat Oil,Jumlar Nigeria Ltd, and presently with Globalcom plc.
Engr. Segun kaka is a man with a caring heart, a strong negotiator, a highly reserved person with great business acumen. His dynamism has given him lots of opportunities like the recent agreement signed with Trade Union Congress (TUC) under which his company, Hartfield and Haul Ltd will build workers' low cost housing scheme throughout the 36 States of federation.
As a man who believes in using his resources to make lives better for the people, Kaka has over 147 capital projects both in rural and urban areas of Ago-Iwoye, Oru Ijebu, Awa and Ilaporu.
Some of these are renovation of Ibipe Health Care centre, construction of emergency gate at ibipe health care centre, donation of over 20 boreholes in various rural villages, electrification and lightening of Isamuro, Idi Kanga, Idode, Oru junction, Awa junction, Ilaporu street ,Ebumawe palace, extended to Okebute junction, Olopomerin, several health intervention and ICT.
Others are grading of most of the urban and rural roads in Ago Iwoye, Tekunle Awa, Falafunmu in Oru ,Abobi, Okenugbo road among others
Engr. Segun Kaka was unanimously elected as first Vice chairman of Ago-Iwoye Community Development Council (ACDC) in 2019 and he is at the moment the secretary of Ago Iwoye City Stadium Committee,and now the acting chairman ACDC,Ago iwoye central development council.
As a form of socio-economic interaction, Kaka is a member of Tobalase Ago Iwoye and 97th member of Association of Friend's, Maryland, Lagos.
The politician of note is currently working out a systemic agricultural empowerment called IFECA MODEl with few like minds from his constituency which is essentially to reduce to the barest minimum economic hardship of the rural dwellers while also empowering the youths. The agricbusiness is receiving backing of both local and foreign multinationals and stakeholders in agriculture sector with acquisition of 50 hectares of land though the projection is to have at least 1000 hectares.
Engr. Segun kaka is a young exposed man who has traveled to most countries in Europe and America and feels he could extend his experience to the town. He's intelligent, a lobbyist with a high degree, bold,and energetic, he is never tired, he doesn't believe something is impossible, rather he sees hope where others see hopelessness.
Kaka's trajectory in politics started around 2011 when he joined the political family of the late leading leader, Senator Jubril Martins Kuye and because of his huge commitment, he was made the Ogun East Senatorial Coordinator for the second term re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan election in 2015, while he was also a member advance team of the governorship campaign of Late General Olatunji Idowu Olurin in 2011.
He has been in this assembly race since 2015 when he contested under APGA as well as in 2019 under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Kaka is at the moment Ogun State Director of Mobilisation of the only and formally recognized socio political group for 2023 Tinubu presidency, ABAT Movement,state Cordinator Dapo Abiodun continuity Agenda movement(DACA movement) a socio political movement of over ten thousand membership throughout the state.
Prince Segun Kaka ,a man full of brilliant ideas in the areas of community development,Prince segun is presently the chairman House Committee on information, culture and tourism, the vice chairman house committee on ministry of Agriculture under ogun state government, a man of many beautiful colors and ideas.
