.......Commends Maba Community For Their Unflinching Supports On The Construction Of School And Other Infrastructures
The Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA has commended Maba Community of their selfless efforts on the on-going construction of Maba Community Market and primary School in Ibafo axis area of the local government.
The Council boss made the commendation while on an inspection visit to an on-going construction of ultra modern market in Magboro and Maba community where several self help projects such as market,school and others under construction .
He expressed his profound appreciation to the Baale, High Chief Orunsolu Oluwarotimi, who led other chiefs and leaders of the community to the on-going construction sites within the community.
He stressed that Obafemi Owode Local Government consist of 1,625 Communities, which makes it very difficult for government to provide every basic amenities for all the communities in view of meagre revenue, levies and rates generated in the local government.
He further assured them of his recommendation and necessary approval needed from the government quarters at any time.
Analyzing the motive behind the projects, High Chief Orunsolu Oluwarotimi, Baale Maba Community explained that reason for building a block of 10 Classrooms is to complement the efforts of the local government on the on-going construction of Classrooms in Ebute Ibafo, very closed to Maba and to safe their wards from incessant road accident exposed to when crossing the Lagos/Ibadan express way.
He further explained that in order to have a secure environment, they resolved to provide land for the construction of health centre and police post along with on-going ultra modern market, and intend to secure necessary government approvals.
Similarly, Amb. Ogunsola has given a 21day ultimatum to all who erected chanties, illegal boldoff and unapproved containers at Magboro Market to evacuate them in order to pave way for on-going construction of Open Stores and Lock up shops in the market.
Earlier, the council boss held meeting with Iyaloja General in Obafemi Owode Local Government to fine tune some issues regarding the market redefining and facelifting to measure up with modern development in the area.
Speaking at the meeting, Chief Mrs. Morenikeji Tawakalit Oyelakin, Iyaloja Asese Market who also doubled as Coordinator Iyaloja General, Obafemi Owode Local Government said the meeting is necessitated to shed more light on the progressive moves of the government, particularly in recognizing the role of iyalojas in the market, not only in Magboro but other markets in the local government area.
She further thanked the government for identifying with them and urged the Engineers handling the projects to deliver within the set time, so that it will be Commissioned among local government projects such as, Electrification, Viewing Center Hall,Boreholes,school etc by the present administration,come June this year.
Other markets delegates and chiefs present at the meeting includes, Chief Agboola Olanrewaju, Secretary Egbe Oloja, Chief Adesina Olatunji, Otun Baale, Maba Community, Chief Adesina Akeem , Akogun Maba Community, Dr. Biyi Adegoroye, CDC Chairman, Engr. Babatunde Adeyanju, Hon. Mufutau Adisa Ibrahim among others.
