ABEOKUTA — The house of representative member, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka has congratulated Gov. Dapo Abiodun and his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele over the Supreme Court ruling affirming their victory in the March 18 governorship election.
Isiaka, also commended the judiciary for the verdict, in a statement on Friday.
He said the ruling of the Supreme Court is afirmation of the confidence reposed in the government of Prince Dapo Abiodun team by Ogun residents.
He said all the party’s leaders and members were elated about the decision of the supreme court.
“I believe that the pronouncement of the court is a testament to the confidence that Ogun residents have in our party.
Isiaka appreciates the due diligence done by the Nigeria judiciary to arrive at this conclusion,” Isiaka said.
According to him, the affirmation is a pointer to the fact that the judicial system in the country has evolved and the system can be trusted and relied upon.
“The judicial process was thorough and deep, as all the issues were delved into without leaving any stone unturned.
“We, therefore, commend them for the this due diligence,“ Ibrahim Isiaka said.
Amebo Newspapers NG. reports that the Supreme Court sitting in Abuja on Friday dismissed issues raised by the PDP candidate, Oladipupo Adebutu and, against the judgement of the election tribunal.
