cements talks of stronger ties with the Senator.

Governor Dapo Abiodun was a no-show at the 19th annual Thanksgiving staged by Senator Gbenga Daniel.

The event that was held on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the Abraham’s Tabernacle -Baptist International Worship Centre -, Ishagamu Ogun state, however, had Oladipo Adebutu in attendance.

Abiodun’s absence furthers his quarrel with Daniel while Adebtu’s appearance cements talks of stronger ties with the Senator.

Daniel and Abiodun are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) while Adebutu is the leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and gubernatorial candidate of the party challenging Abiodun’s re-election as the Governor of Ogun state. Senator Daniel is however, a former face of the PDP in the southwest.

Part of the quarrel between Abiodun and Daniel is that the Senator contributed to Adebutu’s near-win in the March 2023 Ogun state gubernatorial election.

Other major players at Sunday’s Thanksgiving hosted by Daniel include Sarafa Tunji-Isola and Jimi Lawal.
