The Akarigbo and the Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR Torungbuwa II has commiserated with the government of Ekiti state over the killings of two monarchs by suspected kidnappers in the Ikole local government area of the state.

The gunmen suspected to be kidnappers reportedly shot dead two traditional rulers traveling along a community in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti state.

It was gathered that the two traditional rulers; the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsakin, and the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Samuel Olushola were ambushed and killed by the gunmen on Monday while the Alara of Ara Ikole-Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Fatoba escaped from the scene.

Akarigbo urged the federal government to revisit the insecurity in Nigeria by doing its best to protect the lives of its citizens.
Part of the statement from HRM Oba Babatunde Ajayi CFR reads;

"On behalf of all the Obas in Ogun state, I   commiserate with the families of the departed. It is, however, a sad commentary on the state of insecurity in the country. Kabiyesi urges the government to do its best by protecting the lives of its citizens. It is now apparent that the issue of state security ought to be revisited as a matter of urgency."

He also prayed to the Almighty God to grant the families of the deceased fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
