Impersonation: Igbore Council of Chiefs disown Chief Oluwole as Olori Aje Igbore

The Igbore Chiefs in a letter addressed to the Balogun Egba, Ologun, Olorogun; Egba Council of Chiefs, said at no time was Chief Odekunle installed or appointed as Olori-Aje Igbore.

The letter which was signed by Chief Tajudeen Lemboye, Balogun Igbore, Chief Imran Taiwo, Jagunna Igbore, Chief Rafiu Ogunbodede, Odofin, Igbore and Chief Oluwole Folawewo, Lukotun-Aje Igbore.

Other Chiefs that signed the letter also include Chief Akeem Oladeinde, Lisa Igbore and Chief Olusegun Sokeye, Lukosi-Aje Igbore.

The letter with the title: Impersonation as Olori Aje Igbore by Chief Oluwole Odekunle dated 25th August 2023 was also sent to the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo and the President, Egba Traditional Council of Chiefs

“The attention of Igbore Traditional Council of Chiefs has been drawn to the act of impersonation being committed by Chief Oluwole Odekunle; the Akinrogun Itoku and Bada Asoju Oba Egba who has been falsely parading himself as the Olori-Aje Igbore and was bold enough to introduce himself as Olori Aje labourer to the congregation of Ologun/Olorogun Egba Council of Chiefs during the last meeting of the Council in Balogun Egba House, G.R.A, Ibara, Abeokuta on Saturday, 19th August 2023.

“We, therefore, write to formally inform the Balogun Egba, that other statutory and General Egba title chiefs and the entire Ologun/Olorogun Egba chiefs from various townships that Chief Oluwole Odekunle was at no time been selected, appointed or installed as Olori Aje Igbore by the appropriate Igbore Traditional Council of Chiefs and therefore should not be recognized as such.

The Igbore Council of Chiefs said, “By procedure, Igbore Traditional Council of Chiefs including Ologboni, Ologun and Olorogun chiefs reserve the right to conduct statutory election as entrenched in the Declaration for the selection of Olori Parakoyi Egba to elect the choice of their candidate, and whosoever selected automatically by customary practice
becomes the Olori Aje Igbore and shall be installed as Olori Aje labour as
underwear (AWOTELE) impending the final installation as Olori Parakoyi Egba.

“Chief Oluwole Odekunle is staging with chieftaincy gangsters that are defrauding him with chieftaincy titles in Igbore township.
