Again, So-Safe Corps Apprehend four Suspected Armed Robber Syndicates in Ogun

The operatives of Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) an arm of Ogun State Government Atan Division under the leadership of Agbara Area Commander ACC Adebesin Lukman has again foiled the robbery attack by seven gangs of armed Robbers in Olokopupo Community, Atan Ota area of Ado Odo Ota Local Government.

According to ACC Moruf Yusuf, Director of Information and Public Relations, Ogun State So-Safe Corps, The Syndicates raided and robbed three houses successfully completed in the Olokopupo community, but unfortunately for them, So-Safe Officers attached to Atan Divisional Headquarter on routine patrol in the axis sighted the armed robbers while cutting the security wire. The officers waited patiently till they went through the back perimeter fence, before going after them, The armed robbers then confronted the officers having sighted them on their deadly mission.

The team reinforced to neutralise the robbers and they took to their heels, which made the officers of the So-Safe Corps to run after them with full force, thereby leading to the arrest of three out of the seven syndicates on Friday, September, 23, 2022 at about 5:2600hrs while the rest four whereabouts is yet to be identified. 

The three apprehended suspects are Ikechukwu Oligbo 35years of age, Fidelix Nwakwo 32 years old and Chinedu Eze 37 years old. 

Meanwhile, One Nuru Ahmed 24years , a resident of Alaba Rago, Lagos State after forensic evidence was traced for having shady dealing with the apprehended suspect, he confessed to buying stolen phones from the suspects, which lead to his arrest after number of stolen items were found in his possession.

During preliminary investigation, the suspects confessed without torture that one of their members called Ugor and at large is in possession of the cut to size locally made pistol they usually use to rob their victims.

The four suspects and the exhibit found in their possession were,  Four our iPhones, Toyota Rav 4 marked KSF 92 GT, 2021 Model, Metalic blue colour, Three iPhone (Apple, white and red), two Tecno phones, two black belts, one black vez cap, one chain wrist watch, two brown leather wallets, four thousand eight hundred and forty naira cash(#4, 840:00) which was handed over to the Nigeria Police, Atan Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
