Lately, the Students' Union Executive have been receiving a couple of calls from students, complaining how Fowobi axis has become unsafe for students that have their hostels located in the area, mostly from the Filling Station inward Fowobi.
Report have it that there are some set of unknown young men who stop students, harass, and forcely collect phones. It was said that few days ago, Nine phones and some other belongings was taken from students going to night vigil. Same scenario happened two days ago too within same Fowobi.
The Students'union have been working tirelessly to ensure the axis and entire students residence is safe and secured. The community Development Association (C.D.A) of the area have been reached, also the vigilantee groups of Nigeria been informed.
We there by urge all students staying within the stated above axis to be careful and vigilant, as they should also avoid staying out late at night..
