As the sons and daughters of Egbalands are sets to celebrates yet another unique festivals, The Alake and paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Dr Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo Okukenu IV has declared the 35th Lisabi Day festival opened today 21st of February 2022 at the palace in Ake Abeokuta. 

During the press briefing, Oba Alake, mentioned the honouring of J.J Randsome Kuti as the hero of 35th Lisabi Festival, Kuti was the composer of Egba Anthem 99 years ago. 

The chairman of this year Lisabi Festival, His Excellency Major Captain Raji Rasaki, called on true son and daughters of Egbaland to rally support to ensure successful festival, he appreciated the council of chiefs for their monetary and advisory messages to ensure this year lisabi festival come up well.

Alake said this year festival would feature tourism tour to some monumental centres in Egbaland including shrines, Olumo rocks amidst other places to make the activities more glorious and exciting. 



Also, he blowed hot on the ritual killings and merchandise of human organ in Ogun state, calling all parents to checkmate their children and know their source of wealth to reduce the incident of killings in the society. 

Agura Ile Ido, Oba Sabur Bakre - Agura of Gbagura, was in support of Alake of Egbaland as he stood firm at his side during the declaration event today. 

Alake also said Lisabi festival will expose gallantry and virtues of egbaland and unite the Egba sons and daughters all over the world.

"The festival was stepped down last year because of the covid 19 pandemic despite the resources put to place but sacrifice need to made to save the people from early death.... Egbaland is blessed with youths with raw talents and positive minded people bringing the glory back home from anywhere in the world., Parents should never accept anything from the children without knowing their source of income to reduce ritual killings..." Alake said.
Meanwhile, on Adire importation, Iyalode Alaba Lawson asked the people to stop buying China Adire because it is not original and Wht they used in producing it can damage human skin, she said the ceremony people should approach Itoku for original adire kampala to promote the cultural heritage and values of Egbaland.
