Tension In Rivers As Social Media Aide To Degema LG Chairman, Osaki Diri Electrocuted While Charging Phone At The Same Time Receiving Calls

The was mild tension in Portharcourt following the shocking death of Osaki Diri, an aide on Social Media to the Chairman of Degema Local Government Area, Hon. Michael John Williams, died after he was electrocuted while answering during charging of his phone.

A family source confirmed that the incident happened at his residence on Thursday in Port Harcourt and that his wife who had attempted to rescue him was also shocked but survived electrocution.

Diri had only wedded on August 28,2021in Port Harcourt, Rivers 

Reacting to the incident, the Degema Council boss, who commiserated with the bereaved family, he described Diri as a God-fearing, humble and hard-working young man, who endeared himself to many in the short time he lived on earth.

Diri was one of the 23 social media aides engaged by the Degema Chairman in August, 2021.
