A Governorship Aspirant of People's Democratic Party, PDP in Ogun State, Prince John Adegbola on Thursday, joined Nigerians to celebrate diamond 61st independence anniversary.
Adegbola described the 61st anniversary as historic to all citizens and as a nation on a journey towards fulfilling dream of the nationalists and founding fathers of the country’s independence from colonialism.
This was contained in a statement signed by him in Abeokuta, State capital of Ogun state.
The statement reads in part, “The Governorship Aspirant of People's Democratic Party PDP, joins Nigerians to celebrate the 61st Anniversary of Independence.
“The 61st Anniversary of our country is very historic to us as citizens and to our nation on her journey towards fulfilling the dream of our founding fathers.
To my great fellow Nigerians in Ogun state. It is with a concerned heart and responsible mind that I wish us HAPPY INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY where the expected development and desired progress seems a mirage.
Meanwhile, Prince John Adegbola also charged Nigerians on peaceful coexistence and for development in all sectors of the economy towards building a strong nation and egalitarian society.
