More Trouble In Dapo Abiodun's Camp As Ogun Party Chairman, Alhaja Faidat Allegedly Arrest Ex Chairman, Alaga-Mesan Over Rift

The internal crisis in All Progressives Congress, APC Dapo Abiodun camp in Ogun state has taken another dimension today Friday 8th of October, 2021, following the arrest of immediate past chairman of the party in Abeokuta North, Alaga-Mesan by the newly elected chairman, Alhaja Faidat over rift between the two.

According to the report reaching Amebo Newspaper NG, there was rift between Alhaja Faidat and Alaga-Mesan over choice of who will succeed him as the chairman of the party before the local government party election due to the rejection of Alhaja Faidat by majority of the party members due to her unfriendly, low human management attitude , which some described as lack of managerial skills to chair the party.

Below is the writeup by anonymous member of the party, disseminated across all Whatsapp groups.

TODAY'S EVENT, AN INDICATION WE NEED URGENT INTERVENTION IN ABEOKUTA NORTH

For the umpteenth time, we really need help in APC Abeokuta north.

What transpired today between Alhaja Faidat, the Chairperson-elect of our party and the former chairman, Alaga mesan shows clearly that something really needs to be done as a matter of urgency.

We cannot continue to promote hate, wickedness and mischief and expect that peace will reign.

What right did Alhaja faidat have to call for the arrest of Alaga mesan? I believe even if Alhaja has any rift with her predecessor, she should have reported him to our leaders like Baba Adeshina, Sen Lanre TEJUOSHO, Hon Bode Mustapha Baba Bodunrin, Senator Tejuosho, Alhaji Bakai etc.

The party constitution says all internal issues should be settled within the party and not involving police over a trivial matter like the party secretariat custody.  It is shameful that Alhaja Faidat and her cohort prefers to wash their dirty linen in public, instead of building bridges and promoting peace for everyone.

Asides that, she has not been sworn in yet, so she has No right to take over the party secretariat. There is a process to this thing. She should learn to follow due process.

We will tell it to whoever cares to listen, our new party chairperson is starting on the wrong foot, she's already fractionalizing the party and seriously weakening the party that our leaders toiled to build.

She better caution herself and listen to good counsel before she goes too far on this self-destruct journey.
