....Charges Youths To Embrace Value Chain Opportunities In The Railway Station Maintainaces 

IFO — The house of representatives member of Ifo and Ewekoro federal constituency, Hon. Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka who doubled as the Chairman Ecological Funds has commended President Mohammadu Buhari over the completion of 156-kilometer standard railway gauge in Agbado area of Ogun state.

Equally, he saluted Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, the executive governor of Ogun state for his efforts in ensuring the railway station meets completion stage with his collaboration with the federal ministry of transportation under the leadership of His Excellency Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transportation.



Being the first Nigerian railway line to be started and completed by the same administration, since 1960, the construction of the station started in March 2017, while test-running commenced in December 2019 as 60% of the corridor falls within Ogun axis.

The Ebute Metta Station, known as the Mobolaji Johnson Station, is the largest railway station in West Africa with a holding capacity of 6000 passengers.
The railways station will link traders from southwest to the northern part of the country, also it will ease the workload on our roads as travellers will make use it as the safest means of transportation ever.

You will recall that Hon. Ibrahim Isiaka has been the major key team player representing both the federal house of representatives and Ogun state in China to ensure the successful completion of this landmark achievement since 2017 by shuttling Nigeria for China, Right from the Front End Engineering and Design to the delivery of the rolling stocks as a significant stakeholder on Local Content and Capacity Development that facilitated siting of the Assembly Plant at Kajola in Ifo Local Government. 

"My great People of Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, I'm glad to announce to you, that President Muhammadu Buhari will tomorrow, commission the 156km Lagos—Ibadan standard gauge railway line in Lagos, the first double-track standard gauge rail in West Africa, and the first Nigerian railway line to be started and completed by the same administration, since 1960." Said Hon Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka 

However, he charged the youths in Ogun state to see the project as their personal project and make sure they key into the value chain for sustainable development in Ogun state as he highlighted the opportunities opened to the public through training towards maintenance of the railway gauge when the contractors take their leave.

"We have signed agreement with the China company to train our youths on the maintenance of the railway station and lines, we have opened them to opportunities in getting people trained to enable them fabricate, weld, change accessories, and perform other maintenances on our railway system when the China company completes their contract in Nigeria, our youths can take over from where they stopped" Hon Ibrahin Isiaka added. 

Also, he pleaded to the residents of Ifo, Ewekoro and it's environment to desist from incessant dumping of refuses in the canal, drainage system which can lead to flooding.

"I want to plead to my people in Ifo, Ewekoro and it's envy to desist from dumping of refuse in the drainage system which can lead to blockage of water ways, there is no matter how the water is being blocked, it would definitely find it's way, we pray not to experience the bad effect of flooding this year as the rain is about to commence in Nigeria." Rt. Hon Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka 

He promised to represent his good people extensively well both in Nigeria and abroad by bringing all projects that will benefit everyone to his constituency as they have entrusted him to be their representative.
