The candidate of All Progressives Congress APC, in the forthcoming local government election in Ogun state, Hon Lanrewaju Adesina Ogunsola has saluted President Mohammadu Buhari and Governor Princr Dapo Abiodun mfr over the completion of the railway station in the state.
Ogunsola, who described Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun as a silent achiever per excellent, "Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has done wonderfully well by achieving what the two previous administration has been able to achieve in their two years as governor in a silent way, he has rehabilitated many roads, completed many landmark projects with his super working aides, if we continue to highlight them one after the other we will end up sleeping and sleeping over due to the tunes." Said Ogunsola.
The project being the first Nigerian railway line to be started and completed by the same administration, since 1960, the construction of the station started in March 2017, while test-running commenced in December 2019 as 60% of the corridor falls within Ogun axis.
The Ebute Metta Station, known as the Mobolaji Johnson Station, is the largest railway station in West Africa with a holding capacity of 6000 passengers.
The railways station will link traders from southwest to the northern part of the country, also it will ease the workload on our roads as travellers will make use it as the safest means of transportation ever.
"I make bold to say Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun's achievement cannot be contested by any governor in Nigeria.... The railway transportation will not only ease the traffic on our roads but improve business transactions of our people in a safer way..... As the candidate of our great party in the forthcoming local government election, I will work in line with His Excellency's blueprint to reach out to the grassroots as the council chairman using everything humanly possible by the grace of Almighty God." Ogunsola added.
Also, he expressed gratitude to the leaders of the All Progressives Congress APC for finding him worthy to run under the progressive party in the forthcoming election, he assured them of transparent and accountable government with all inclusiveness without leaving any stone untouched.
He reteriated his commitment to education, infrastructural development, social amenities and environmental degradation, empowerment to the aged and youths among others if by the grace of God All Progressives Congress take lead in the local government election in July 24 2021.
