The Alaporu of Ilaporu in Ijebu North Local Government, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh A. Quadri yesterday played host to the APC Chairmanship Candidate Hon Omobolaji Oluwaseun Odunsanya and his Vice Chairmanship Candidate, Hon Mrs Comfort Adeyemi at his palace.
In his address, Alaporu like other Monarchs earlier visited, harps on effective and efficient security of the entire local government which he said cannot be jettisoned for no reason, especially taking into cognizance umpteemth time security meeting which is lapsing in other past administrations. He however canvassed for a juicy appointment for whoever will be shortlisted by the party to represent the ward as a supervisor.
He iterated that the Candidates should make the homes of Monarchs their second home to ensure a cordial relationship is birth and harken to series of best advises that will be rendered. He noted that love must exist between the Chairman and his Vice for peaceful coexistence in the Council.
The Monarch eulogize the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Olatokunbo Talabi for his unprecedented contributions and support to the Local Government especially Oru-Awa-Ilaporu.
"The seat I am today, Tokunbo Talabi's father nominated me in the year 1990, though he is late, I will forever be indebted to him", he said.
The furthered that distribution of developmental projects and empowerment of the party members and constituents should be paramount in the administration. He showered blessings of prosperity, enlargement of coast and greatness on the Candidates.
Speaking earlier, the Chairmanship Candidate, Odusanya Omobolaji Oluwaseun appreciates the support of the Monarch thus far while craving for more. He alluded that no administration can survive without the cooperation of the Monarchs, pledging that he will never disappoint them and will consult where and when need be before taking decisions.
Among the entourage of the Chairmanship Candidate and his Vice are seasoned politicians, women and youths.
