The leading Chairmanship Aspirant of Abeokuta North LG, Hon. Olalekan Tajudeen Ishola has called for calm following the tensed situation surrounding the Party's choice of candidate in the forthcoming Local Government election in Abeokuta North.
He made the call to Party Faithful today, adding that the progress of APC in the LG is supreme to the aspirations of everyone.
Ishola appealed to party members and supporters to embrace peace, noting that the oneness of the party should be the major concern of all quarters.
According to him, "The last few days have been quite tensed for the leadership and members of our dear Party, APC, I personally commend all efforts and pray that God Almighty shall reward all of us accordingly, peacefully and with success.
"However, I appeal to all my fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters, that we should please maintain peace and keep a ONE Party APC. We have enjoyed the dividends of oneness within our party over the years and I'm sure there are still several more to come.
"The need to accord due respect for the leadership and constituted authorities at this period can never be undermined. At the end, we shall all be needing each other to actualize the Abeokuta North LG of our dream", he added.
Ishola said that he has remained humble to the leadership of the Party, and expects same of every Progressives who desires the progress of the Party.
He noted that aspirants for the Chairmanship Seat of the LG have maintained a healthy relationship with one another. He added that no aspirant has exhibited any form of disrespect or aggressiveness towards other aspirants in the course of thier campaign, thereby imploring followers and supporters to imbibe same spirit.
