A 21-year-old man, Thomas Tosin, has been shot dead by operatives of Western Nigeria Security Network, popularly known as Amotekun, at Mokola Roundabout area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Wednesday, January 13. According to report, operatives of Amotekun were settling a dispute between a yahoo boy and his girlfriend, when one of them mistakenly fired the shot that killed the victim.
Confirming the incident, on Thursday, January 11, the state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Olugbenga Fadeyi, said the deceased was rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, where he was confirmed dead.
