Shote Gets Excellence Award

ABEOKUTA: In recognition of his contributions towards youth and community development in Ogun State, the Federated Chapel of the Ogun State chapter of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) at the weekend honoured the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Reps candidate for Ijebu Central Federal Constituency in the 2019 National Assembly election, Barr. Taiwo Shote (a.k.a Pepe) with an award of excellence.

The award was presented to the representative of Barr. Shote and Publicity Secretary of the Ogun State chapter of PDP, Mr. Sunkanmi Oyejide, by the Ogun State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr. Hamid Abodunrin.

In his acceptance speech, Shote thanked the Federated Chapel for finding him worthy of the excellence award and promised to champion more youth and community development initiatives in Ijebu Central and beyond.

"This honour will spur me to keep contributing my quota towards youth and community development in Ijebu Central Federal Constituency and Ogun State at large.

"The government cannot do it alone. Cooperate bodies and wealthy individuals should as well assist the needy in the society. I sincerely thank the team of professionals behind this initiative," Shote said.
