The Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON) on Thursday, 10th December, 2020 inducted Sola Otesile, Chairman, Ogun State Printing Corporation Board, as a full member of the institute. The induction came up at Hotel de Horizon, Plot 5, Kandi Close, off Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja during the Annual General Meeting of the institute.
The Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria was established by Act 24 of 2007, and commenced on 30th July, 2007. The body is charged with the duty of regulating, controlling, managing and administering commercial printing professionals in the country.

The President of the institute, Mr. Olugbemi Malomo, when speaking at the event firmly stated his belief that the regulation of printing profession was capable of helping the industry harness great potential, and return the industry to a profitable state. “Regulation is indispensable to the proper functioning of economies and society, and in the industry, it will create a level playing ground; help us become more organized; influence government policies; set us on the path of sustainable development of the industry; and most importantly, make us accountable”, the President said.
“Without any doubt, the industry is set on a path of greatness, and for those who are going to be inducted we welcome you to the exciting things ahead. To others, we invite you to come and be part of changing the narrative of the industry”, the President added.

Speaking shortly after his induction, Sola Otesile said his decision to join the Institute “is to better position Ogun State Printing Corporation for better performance through networking and exposure to modern trends of development in the printing industry.”

According to him, “the printing industry is very wide such that no individual company can engage in providing all printing needs to its customers. For this reason, a smart professional must collaborate for effectiveness, timeliness and quality service delivery. I see that CIPPON will provide that opportunity.” Speaking further, Sola said, “the printing industry has now become professionalized and therefore it is no longer an all-comers affairs. He mentioned that “a smart printer must key into this opportunity before it is too late”. Sola Otesile who is determined to lead the Ogun State Printing Corporation team with integrity, innovative ideas and mutually beneficial collaboration unequivocally promised to do better in service delivery and in taking the Corporation to a greater height.
