Ogun Govt Backs Court Order, Sack Oniro Of Iro Kingdom From Office

The government of Ogun State through Ministry of Chieftaincy Affairs has suspended Oba Nojeemdeen Alani Eyiowuawi-Adebari Ilufemiloye Obayemi (Obanla 1) Oniro of Iro following the court order dated 26th of April 2017 from parading himself as monarch in the state.

This was contained in the statement signed by Adesoji Adewuyi, Director of Chieftaincy Affairs for the Permanent Sectretaty of the ministry directing Oniro to stop parading himself as Oba in the state.

Also, the stipends from the stage government was stopped based on the court order barring him from office as Oba in Igbehin.
