Hon Atinuke Bello, member house of Assembly who doubled as Chief Whip OGHA has empowered nothing less than 15 women leaders with 50,000 each not excluding the local Govt women leader in Odogbolu State constituency, Ogun State.

The Chief Whip of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Atinuke Bello had yesterday donated Fifty Thousand Naira cash to each APC women leaders in Odogbolu Local Government to support their businesses and also distributed christmas gift to the great people of Odogbolu State Constituency. 

The enthusiastic Bello faithfuls had in the early hours of yesterday trooped into Odogbolu residence of the lawmaker where the ground breaking event took place.

Bello believes that empowering the women leaders is not about giving away handouts. Its also about monitoring the process and giving professional support to them in enabling them overcome their sense of powerlessness and lack of influence also empowerment programs should be sustainable and enable people to recognize and use their resources. 

She opined that Odogbolu State Constituency has more than enough hairdressers, tailors, market men and women, Okada riders, soap makers, and cake bakers, but what they need to flourish in their means of livelihood is access to funds and equipments for them to be able to take total control of their circumstances.

In her speech, Bello appreciate the women leaders for their undiluted support during and after her emergence as a Member of Ogun State House of Assembly. 

"Empowerment of the women leaders is vital because they must possess the ability to ensure their own wellbeing and participate in any decision making that concerns them".

The lawmaker identifies empowerment along with "Employment opportunity and " Education " as the three pillars of the fight against poverty. She promised to do more for the people but seek their patience and understanding.

Party leaders took turns to appreciate Hon. Bello for empowering the women leaders  with cash that are asset in nature, worthy and tangible for empowerment.

The event reaches crescendo when beneficiaries showered encomiums on Hon. Atinuke Bello in celebration of her birthday and Christmas celebration.
