With a drive to maximize Agricultural Production all year round, Interplast Limited, the West Africa leading producer of Plastic Pipe Systems has sought for partnership with the Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture, saying its company has just launched a new drip Irrigation System called Ingreen Irrigation Solutions, a one stop shop solution for landscape and farm irrigation systems.
The Managing Director of the Company, Mr. Haldar Malhas, who revealed this during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina, today 30th November, 2020 disclosed further that part of the plans was to support small holder farmers, in providing Irrigation System at an affordable rate all year round as well as training of farmers on its usage .
Responding, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina welcomed the innovation and
promised them the much needed support from the State Government such as land and inputs and also proposed setting up a demonstration plot by the team to sensitize farmers on effective irrigation systems to maximize yield and increase production
Also present at the meeting were the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Agriculture
