UAE CONSULATE DISTRIBUTES BACK-TO-SCHOOL MATERIALS TO STUDENTS IN OGUN.

As part of efforts to support the giant strides of Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration towards repositioning the education sector in Ogun State, the United Arab Emirate  (UAE) Consulate under its Consular General has distributed 1, 027 back to school packs of educational materials to 15 schools in Ado-Odo Ota local government area of the  state. 
The provision of the back to school pack which was facilitated by friends of DANSO comprises of a School bag, face shield, pens, pencils, a school shoe , water bottle, 12 exercise book and two pairs  of socks . 
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Ogun State Government, Senior Special Assistant, Office of the Deputy Governor, Hon. Kola Salako said the gesture will indeed compliment the developmental strides of the present administration in the states education sector. 

Hon Salako informed that that government alone cannot do it all, hence the need for well meaning individuals, Non-governmental organisations such as DANSO and corporate organisations to get involved and support the building our future together agenda of the present government.
"Governor Dapo Abiodun has placed premium on quality education and human capital development with a view to developing the sector, we need all the contributions and support we can get to ensure this feat is achieved, I therefore extend the gratitude of the people of Ogun state for this kind gesture and the interest the UAE Consulate has taken in Ogun State especially now that schools have resumed" he said

Ealier in his remarks, the Consular General of the United Arab Emirates, Dr Abdullah Al-mandoos,  represented by Mr Muhammed Basheer Raji, said he was impressed by the passion of the Ogun state government at ensuring, quality and functional education is provided for learners in the state, promising the continued support of the UAE at all times.

Also speaking Onikotun of Otun Ota, Oba  Abdulhakeem Odunayo, representing  Olota of Ota, Oba Prof. Abdulkabir Obalanlege commended the donors, advising the children to make judicious use of the materials given because it is going to aid their teaching and learning in schools.

 The Secretary-General of the DANSO foundation , Mrs Olabimpe Akamu-Afolabi said the organisation was one committed to Human Capacity Building of Nigerians and particularly support the development of youths and women in a bid to improve on their economic capacity and well.

She appreciated the current administration in Ogun State led by Prince Dapo Abiodun for the its unalloyed commitment to education which she said birthed the BACK TO SCHOOL initiative by the NGO for school children in the state.

While appreciating the donors on behalf of other pupils, master Saheeb Daniel, a primary 6 student of St. Micheal School 2 Ota, said the materials will really be useful to them.
