Rights activist and former students leader, Comrade Akeem Temitope Akilo, has called on the government to implement the 2014 Confab report, opined that the report, if implemented, it will serve as a template for restructuring.
Comrade Akilo who made the call to the government in a message release to the media on independent day celebration, lamented the devastating state of the nation at 60 and misapplication of Nigeria resources.

The 1914 amalgamation of Southern and Northern Nigeria are not favourably working well for us as a nation. The unification was done by forcefully bringing us together to satisfy the wolfish plans of Sir Frederick Lugard and his cohorts, the British. The sinking ship of this amalgamated nation was blunderiously, fallaciously and illogically relieved and celebrated as an independent nation in 1960 on a fraudulent, deceptive, counterfeit, and hypocritic foundation.
At 60, we are yet to join the league and comity of developed nations. We are still crawling after 106 and 60 years of our existence as amalgamated and independent country. Thank God our rail transport system is back after many years of neglect. No country can develop to an economy viable nation without railway transportation network.
No viable roads infrastructure that are working well in Nigeria at 60. No power! No security! Our electoral process is faulty! Sharing of our resources are not equitable! Judiciary has been highly politicised! There are lots of inadequacies in our constitution!
The best the government of the day can do is to implement the 2014 confab report as a template for restructuring.
