Five people this evening escaped death as fully loaded container fell on two vehicle at the wema bank area of sango Ota. The vehicles involved was one yellow bus and a cabstar.
According to the driver of one of the vehicles who gave account of what led to the accident said the cabstar was faulty while the yellow bus was trying to help remove the vehicle from the road when the lorry carrying the container was trying to maneuver a pothole.
The driver explained that suddenly, the container began to fall on it side which made the five people at the scene scamper for safety. The driver however called on the federal government to come to the rescue of road users in Ado Odo Ota local government as accidents now happen on daily basis due to the bad state of roads.
Confirming the incident, Ado Odo Ota area TRACE commander, Adekunle Ajibade warned road users to be mindful of the current weather situation which usually leads to incessant falling of vehicles.
He emphasized on the need to be careful and avoid excessive speed when using the road.
