The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Sen. Tolu Odebiyi congratulates  former Governor of Ogun State, a Legend and Doyen of the media industry, His Excellency,
Akinrogun Olusegun Osoba, CON on his appointment as the new Chairman of the Governing Council of Nigerian Institute of Journalism. 

Sen. Tolu Odebiyi describes the reverred former Ogun State Executive Governor as a Legend and a Doyen of the media industry who is worthy of his new role.

Sen. Tolu Odebiyi said,   "On behalf of my wife Folashade, my entire family and Constituents in Ogun West Senatorial District, I join millions of your admirers, your wonderful family, friends, media associates, well-meaning Party members as well as the good people of Ogun State, and other Nigerians in congratulating Your Excellency, on your appointment as the Chairman Governing Council of the Africa’s premier institution in journalism, media and communication studies,  the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, (NIJ)".

While extolling the virtues of Akinrogun Osoba, Sen. Odebiyi notes that, as a former Executive of the Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN); former General Manager of Daily Sketch and Nigerian Herald Newspapers, Baba Osoba has contributed immensely to the development of the media industry in Nigeria and by extension, in Africa". 

"Baba is a well known journalist, an epitome of generosity who supported people and causes he believed in. 
Baba fought for the freedom many media practitioners are enjoying today, due to his long-standing commitment to professional excellence in the industry". 

Sen. Odebiyi prays that God would grant Baba Osoba many more healthy years in service of the industry and the nation in general.
