ABEOKUTA– The men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 16 year old boy, Adeniyi Mohammed for stealing 14 women pants at Ayetoro area of the state.
The Police Public Relations officer DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi in a statement made available to newsmen said he suspect who confessed to the crime said he was sent by someone, adding that efforts are in top gear to find his accomplice.
The statement further detailed that the suspect was apprehended following a report by one Amudalat Opaleye a resident of Kano street Ayetoro.
Amudalat, according to the statement said the suspect at about 6am of Tuesday 18th of August 2020 sneaked into her room and stole her pant, but while trying to sneak out, he was caught with the pant.
Upon the report, the DPO Ayetoro CSP Mobolaji Jimoh detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested.
A search warrant was executed in his house and another 14 used pants were recovered.
“Meanwhile, the commissioner of police CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun has directed that the suspect be transferred to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigatio” Oyeyemi said
